MasterCard® International Incorporated respects your concerns about privacy. This Privacy Notice applies to the MasterCard® Business Network program (the “Program”), the Program mobile application and www.mastercardbusinessnetwork.com (the “Site”). It describes the types of information we collect in connection with the Program and with whom we may share it. The Privacy Notice also describes the measures we take to protect the security of the information. We also tell you about your choices with respect to your personal information, and how you can reach us to update your contact information or get answers to questions you may have about our privacy practices.
Nonpublic Personal Information We Collect
In connection with your use of the Program, we may collect nonpublic personal information about you:
Information you provide to us on the Site. This includes your name, company name, email address, zip code, and number of employees (for our corporate accounts), payment card number and payment card CVC code. This also includes information about flight reservations, including flight itinerary and airline confirmation code, as well as the name, mailing address, date of birth, passport number and telephone number of each passenger, as well as mobile device unique identifier and geo-location data received through the mobile application or mobile site and includes data submitted for expense report generation including information contained in account statements and purchase transactions.
Information our Site collects automatically. When you visit our Site, we may collect certain information by automated means, such as cookies and web beacons. The information we collect in this manner includes IP address, browser characteristics, device characteristics, operating system, and language preference, referring URLs, information on actions taken on our Site, and dates and times of Site visits. A “cookie” is a file that websites send to a visitor’s computer or other Internet-connected device to uniquely identify the visitor’s browser or to store information or settings in the browser. A “web beacon,” also known as an Internet tag, pixel tag or clear GIF, links web pages to web servers and their cookies and may be used to transmit information collected through cookies back to a web server. Through these automated collection methods, we obtain “clickstream data,” which is a log of content on which a visitor clicks while browsing a website. As the visitor clicks through the website, a record of the action may be collected and stored. Your browser may tell you how to be notified when you receive certain types of cookies or how to restrict or disable certain types of cookies. Please note, however, that without cookies you may not be able to use all of the features of our Site.

How We Use the Information We Collect
Subject to applicable law, we may use the information we collect about you to:
Provide, administer and communicate with you about the Program.
Provide, administer and communicate with you about products, services and promotions (including contests, sweepstakes, programs and other offers) with your permission.
Operate, evaluate and improve our business (including developing new products and services; managing our communications; determining the effectiveness of our advertising; analyzing our products, services and websites; facilitating the functionality of our websites; and performing accounting, auditing, billing, reconciliation and collection activities).
Perform data analyses (including anonymization of personal information).
To record information about purchases you make on the site, in order to make suggestions regarding other goods and services offered within the Program that may be of interest to you.
To generate expense reports if your Program includes expense report functionality.
To provide tips or guidance on how to use our Site, inform you of new features on our Site or provide other information that may be of interest to users.
To personalize the service we provide to you, tailor your experience at our Site to your interests and make more appropriate travel recommendations.
To manage our Site, diagnose technical problems, improve content and allocate the resources of our systems so that your experience with our Site is as efficient as possible.
To audit compliance with our policies and contractual obligations.
As permitted by, and to comply with, any legal or regulatory requirements or provisions.
Use the information in other ways for which we provide specific notice at the time of collection.
For any other purpose to which you consent.
Information We Share
We do not sell or otherwise disclose nonpublic personal information we collect about you in connection with this Program, except as described herein or as otherwise disclosed to you at the time the data is disclosed. We may disclose flight reservation information and the other information you provide to us on the Site with service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as performing marketing services on our behalf. We contractually prohibit each service provider from disclosing or using the information other than to carry out the purposes for which we disclosed the information to them, and if your use of the Program is through a corporate account, we may share nonpublic personal information with your employer’s site administrator(s) and/or your employer.
To those travel service providers with which you make arrangements through our Program, for example airlines, car rental, hotel, ground transportation, theater, attraction or travel insurance. We provide them with the Personal Information needed to make and complete the booking or reservation.
In certain circumstances, we also may disclose information about you without obtaining your consent or offering you an opportunity to opt out. We may do so (i) if we are required to do so or believe to be required to do so by law, regulation or legal process (such as a court order), (ii) in response to a request by law enforcement authorities, or (iii) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent or defend against misuse of Rearden Commerce services, violation of our intellectual property rights, breach of any of your or our business customers’ obligations to Rearden Commerce, physical harm or financial loss, or in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity.
We also reserve the right to transfer personal information we have about you in the event we sell, merge or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets. Should such a sale, merger or transfer occur, we will use reasonable efforts to direct the transferee to use personal information you have provided to us in a manner that is consistent with our Privacy Statement. Following such a sale, merger or transfer, you may contact the entity to which we transferred your personal information with any inquiries concerning the processing of that information.
We may send you transactional emails with information or services you have requested through the Site. In addition, if you chose to opt in to receive promotional emails from the Program, we will occasionally send marketing materials from MasterCard or other MasterCard offers that we think might be of interest to you if you provide prior consent. If you later do not want to receive these marketing materials or other offers, please opt out of these communications by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided in each email. To update your preferences, ask us to remove your information from our mailing lists or submit a request, you may also please contact us as specified in the “How to Contact Us” section below.
Access and Correction
You may obtain a copy of certain personal information we maintain about you or update or correct inaccuracies in that information by logging into the online account you may establish on our websites. In addition, if you believe other personal information we maintain about you is inaccurate, you may request that we correct or amend the information by contacting us as indicated in the “How to Contact Us” section of this Privacy Notice. If we deny an access request, we will notify you of the reasons for the denial. If you are using products or services that our business customer (such your employer or financial institution) obtained on your behalf, you should request such further access to your information from the relevant business customer.
Subject to applicable law, you may have certain additional rights to request access to and receive information about the personal information we maintain about you, update and correct inaccuracies in your personal data, and have the information blocked or deleted, as appropriate.
How We Protect Personal Information
We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect the nonpublic personal information we have about you. We use SSL encryption on the portions of our Site from which we transfer certain personal information.
Links to Other Websites
Our Site may provide links to other websites for your convenience and information. These websites may operate independently from MasterCard. They may have their own privacy notices or policies, which we strongly suggest you review if you visit any linked websites. To the extent any linked website you visit is not owned or operated by MasterCard, we are not responsible for its content, any use of its products or services, or its privacy practices.
Updates to Our Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice may be updated periodically and without prior notice to you to reflect changes in our personal information practices. We will post a prominent notice on our Site to notify you of any significant changes to our Privacy Notice and indicate at the top of the notice when it was most recently updated. In some situations, we may choose to also mail or email you a copy of the updated Privacy Notice.
